IT Workhouse Achieves Cyber Essentials Certification

At IT Workhouse, we take cybersecurity seriously. That's why we're proud to announce that we have achieved Cyber Essentials certification, a UK government-backed scheme (GCHQ) that helps organizations protect against common cyber threats.

See our certificate here.

What is Cyber Essentials? Cyber Essentials is a certification scheme that sets out a baseline of cybersecurity measures that organizations should implement to protect against cyber attacks. The scheme covers five key areas: boundary firewalls and internet gateways, secure configuration, access control, malware protection, and patch management.

Why is Cyber Essentials important? Cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated and more frequent, and no organization is immune. Cyber Essentials provides a basic level of protection against common cyber threats, and demonstrates to customers, suppliers, and stakeholders that our organisation takes cybersecurity seriously.

How did we achieve Cyber Essentials certification? Achieving Cyber Essentials certification involved a rigorous assessment of our security controls by a third-party certification body. We had to demonstrate that we had implemented the five key controls outlined in the scheme, and provide evidence to support our claims.

What are the benefits of Cyber Essentials certification? By achieving Cyber Essentials certification, we have demonstrated our commitment to cybersecurity and our ability to protect against common cyber threats. This can help to improve customer confidence in our business, and give us a competitive edge. We can also now display the Cyber Essentials badge on our website and marketing materials, which can help to enhance our reputation and credibility.

Achieving Cyber Essentials certification is just one of the ways in which we're working to protect our business and our customers from cyber threats. We're proud to have achieved this certification, and we hope that it gives our customers confidence in our commitment to cybersecurity.
